शायद इस जहां में खो गया मेरे ख्वाबों का शहर जो बचपन में देखा था
जवान हुआ तो टूट गए सारे बचपन के सपने, कोई डॉक्टर था, तो कोई पुलिस था तो कोई था फौजी
जब भी बचपन की उन लम्हों को याद किया जाता है तो आंखें नम हो जाती है
क्यों चला गया मेरा बचपन भूतकाल के अंधकारमय शहरों में, मेरी रूह भी जिंदा है उस शहर में,
वह मिट्टी में खेलना वह पानी में खेलना, अभी याद है इस जिंदगी का अनकहा नियम था,
वरना बचपन को छोड़कर जवां कौन होना चाहता है
