एक गरीब आदमी बड़ी मेहनत से एक - एक रूपया जोड़ कर मकान बनवाता है. उस मकान को बनवाने के लिए वह पिछले 20 वर्षों से एक - एक पैसा बचत करता है ताकि उसका परिवार छोटे से झोपड़े से निकलकर पक्के मकान में सुखी से रह सके.

आखिरकार एक दिन मकान बन कर तैयार हो जाता है. तत्पश्चात पंडित से पूछ कर गृह प्रवेश के लिए शुभ तिथि निश्चित की जाती है. लेकिन गृहप्रवेश के 2 दिन पहले ही भूकंप आता है और उसका मकान पूरी तरह ध्वस्त हो जाता है. यह खबर जब उस आदमी को पता चलती है तो वह दौड़ा दौड़ा बाजार जाता है और मिठाई खरीद कर ले आता है. मिठाई लेकर वह घटनास्थल पर पहुंचता है जहां पर काफी लोग इकट्ठे होकर उसके मकान गिरने पर अफसोस जाहिर कर रहे थे.

ओह बेचारे के साथ बहुत बुरा हुआ, कितनी मुश्किल से एक - एक पैसा जोड़कर मकान बनवाया था. इसी प्रकार लोग आपस में तरह तरह की बातें कर रहे थे. 

वह आदमी वहां पहुंचता है और झोले से मिठाई निकाल कर सबको बांटने लगता है. यह देखकर सभी लोग हैरान हो जाते हैं. तभी उसका एक मित्र उससे कहता है, कहीं तुम पागल तो नहीं हो गए हो, घर गिर गया, तुम्हारी जीवन भर की कमाई बर्बाद हो गई और तुम खुश होकर मिठाई बांट रहे हो.

वह आदमी मुस्कुराते हुए कहता है, तुम इस घटना का सिर्फ नकारात्मक पक्ष देख रहे हो इसलिए इसका सकारात्मक पक्ष तुम्हें दिखाई नहीं दे रहा है. ये तो बहुत अच्छा हुआ कि मकान आज ही गिर गया. वरना तुम्हीं सोचो अगर यह मकान 2 दिनों के बाद गिरता तो मैं मेरी पत्नी और बच्चे सभी मारे जा सकते थे. तब कितना बड़ा नुकसान होता. 

*शिक्षा:-*

यदि वह व्यक्ति नकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण से सोचता तो शायद वह Depression का शिकार हो जाता. लेकिन केवल एक सोच के फर्क ने उसके दुःख को परिवर्तित कर दिया. ईश्वर जो भी करता है, अच्छा ही करता है।

 A poor man works hard to build a house by adding one rupee.  To build that house, he saves every single penny for the last 20 years so that his family can move out of a small hut and live happily in a pucca house.

 Eventually one day a house is built and ready.  After that, by asking Pandit, auspicious date is decided for the entrance of the house.  But an earthquake occurs 2 days before the entry of the house and his house completely collapses.  When this man gets to know this news, he runs and goes to the market and brings him to buy sweets.  Taking sweets, he reaches the spot where many people gathered and expressed regret over his house collapsing.

 Oh, bad thing happened to the poor, how hard was it to build a house by adding a penny.  Similarly, people were talking different things among themselves.

 The man reaches there and starts distributing sweets from the bag.  All the people are surprised to see this.  That's when a friend of his tells him, "Have you gone mad, your house has fallen, your lifetime income is wasted and you are happy and distributing sweets."

 The man smilingly says, you are only seeing the negative side of this incident, so you do not see the positive side of it.  It was so good that the house fell today.  Otherwise you think if my house fell after 2 days, then my wife and children could all be killed.  What a huge loss then.

 *Education:-*

 If that person were to think from a negative point of view, he might have become a victim of depression.  But only a difference of thinking changed his sorrow.  Whatever God does, he does good.
